CAIRO, Ill. -- Helen F. Watson, 87, of Cairo died Thursday, Dec. 28, 2000, at Daystar Care Center in Cairo.
She was born Feb. 23, 1913, at Cairo, daughter of Simon Peter and Lillian O'Shea Simon. She married Edward A. Watson, who died Nov. 4, 1983.
She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, White Shrine and Immanuel Lutheran Church of Cairo.

Survivors include a son, William Watson of Vero Beach, Fla., and two grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother.
Graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Green Lawn Memorial Garden in Villa Ridge, Ill., with Richard Keplinger officiating.
Barkett Funeral Home of Cairo is charge of arrangements.
