ANNISTON -- Helen V. Byrd, 73, of Fillmore, formerly of Anniston, died unexpectedly Sunday, Oct. 10, 1993, at her home. She was born March 22, 1920, daughter of Charles Lewis and Enola Minton Easter. She and Robert Lee Byrd were married Aug. 17, 1938, at Wyatt. He died Feb. 12, 1970...

ANNISTON -- Helen V. Byrd, 73, of Fillmore, formerly of Anniston, died unexpectedly Sunday, Oct. 10, 1993, at her home.

She was born March 22, 1920, daughter of Charles Lewis and Enola Minton Easter. She and Robert Lee Byrd were married Aug. 17, 1938, at Wyatt. He died Feb. 12, 1970.

She moved to Grove, Okla., in 1987, and to Fillmore this past June. She was a member of McCarthy Baptist Church at St. Joseph.

Survivors include a brother, James Easter of Fillmore.

Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. today at Breit and Hawkins Funeral Home in Savannah. John Swadley will officiate.

Graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Anniston Cemetery, with Richard Farquhar officiating.

Friends may call at Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie from 12-1 p.m. Thursday.
