Funeral Mass for Helen Lorene Unnerstall of Cape Girardeau will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Mary's Cathedral. Msgr. Richard Rolwing will officiate. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.

Friends may call at Lorberg Memorial Funeral Chapel Monday from 8-9:45 a.m.

Unnerstall, 97, died Thursday, July 6, 2000, at Ratliff Care Center.

She was born March 23, 1903, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of Martin and Emelia Brennecke Bierschwal. She and Vincent H. Unnerstall were married March 20, 1922. He died in 1972.

Unnerstall was a seamstress in the drapery department at Rust and Martin 25 years, retiring in 1965. She was a member of St. Mary's Cathedral and its Council of Catholic Women.

Survivors include a son, Don Unnerstall of Highlands Ranch, Colo.; three grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, six brothers and four sisters.
