Helen Schroeter

FROHNA, Mo. -- Helen Ida Schroeter, 94, of Frohna died Tuesday, Nov. 15, 2016, at Independence Care Center in Perryville, Missouri.

She was born March 25, 1922, in Altenburg, Missouri, daughter of Hieronymus and Hilda Junglaus Schade. She and Harold Schroeter were married April 15, 1951. He preceded her in death July 22, 1984.

Helen was a homemaker. She was a member of Concordia Lutheran Church in Frohna.

Survivors include one daughter and four sons, Kathryn (Gerald) Stueve of Oak Ridge, Ronald Schroeter of Frohna, Robert (Lenae) Schroeter of Scott City, Terry (Glenda) Schroeter of Jackson and Jerry Schroeter of Frohna; a sister, Emma Feiste of Jackson; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and one sister, Virginia Beger.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today and from 6:30 to 8:30 a.m. Friday at Young and Sons East Perry Chapel in Altenburg.

The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Concordia Lutheran Church in Frohna, with the Rev. Rod Benkendorf officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Memorials are preferred to Saxony High School, Concordia Lutheran Church or KFUO Radio.
