Helen Ruth Arnoldi, 72, 104 N. Sunset, died Friday, July 5, 1991, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.

She was born April 28, 1919, at Stone Fort, Ill., daughter of the Rev. John W. and Mary Gregory Ellis. She married Edward P. Arnoldi June 2, 1940, in Cape Girardeau.

Arnoldi was a member of Centenary United Methodist Church, American Iris Society, and was a founder of the Iris Society of Southeast Missouri.

Survivors include a son, Edward Arnoldi Jr. of Plano, Texas; two sisters, Margaret Horton of Florida, Joan Cox of New Mexico; three grandchildren, Amy Arnoldi of Florida, Kaitlyn and Vincent Arnoldi of Plano, and a great-grandchild.

Funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel. The Rev. Neil Stein will officiate, with burial in Memorial Park.
