Helen Pearman

Helen Cleo Pearman, 87, of Cape Girardeau passed away Saturday, Oct. 25, 2008, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.

She was born Feb. 13, 1921, in Alexander County, Ill., daughter of Calvin Marion and Alma Dodson Thomas. She and Lester Edward Pearman were married Feb. 25, 1942. He passed away Jan. 22, 1975.

Mrs. Pearman was a member of Lake Milligan Baptist Church in Miller City, Ill. She was educated, employed and lived the majority of her life in Alexander County.

Loving survivors include a daughter, Betty (Don) Hensley of Cape Girardeau; a grandson, Heath Hensley of Atlanta; a brother, Bob Thomas of Olive Branch, Ill.; a sister, Jessie (Carl) Meurn of New Port Richey, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, four brothers, a sister and a grandchild.

A private graveside service will be held with the Rev. Verlee Eaker officiating.

Memorials may be made to Missouri Baptist Children's Home or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
