ADVANCE -- Helen Montgomery, 68, of Phoenix, Ariz., died Sunday, Dec. 26, 1993, in a Phoenix hospital.

She was born March 20, 1925, in Advance, daughter of Frank and Flora Pixley Mashek. She first married Leo Collins, who preceded her in death. She later married Gene Montgomery.

Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Tani Fancher of Phoenix; a brother, Bud Mashek of Advance; a stepsister, Betty Lucas of Phoenix; two stepbrothers, Kenneth Halstead of Atlanta, Ga., Bill Halstead of Advance, and a granddaughter.

She was preceded in death by an infant son, her parents and stepmother.

Funeral service and burial is today in Phoenix.
