Helen Marie Rogers, 71, of Cape Girardeau died Saturday, Dec. 11, 1993, at the Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
She was born Jan. 16, 1922, the daughter of Earl Noble and Lydia May Riggle Overbey. In December 1940, she married Theodore Rogers, who preceded her in death June 8, 1987.
She was a homemaker.
Survivors include five sons, Kenneth Rogers of Kokomo, Ind., Ray Rogers of Cape Girardeau, Vernon Rogers of Advance, Robert Rogers of Humboldt, Tenn., and Charles Rogers of Chaffee; a daughter, Ruby Freeland of Sikeston; four brothers, Virgil Robbins of Vincennes, Ind., Dan Overbey of Humboldt, Lynn Overbey of Vincennes, and Elmer Overbey of Indianapolis, Ind.; two sisters, Pearl McCoy and Edna Rose Collins, both of Vincennes; 23 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.
She also was preceded in death by her parents, two daughters, three brothers and two granddaughters.
Friends may call from 5-9 p.m. today at Morgan Funeral Chapel in Advance, where funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Monday. The Rev. Arvil Huffman will officiate, and burial will be in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Charleston.
