ANNA, Ill. -- Helen C. Ligon, 90, of Anna, died Tuesday, May 7, 1996, at City Care Center. She was born Dec. 15, 1905, in Union County, daughter of Hugh E. and Bessie Ebey Church. She and Harvey L. Ligon were married Oct. 10, 1931. He died Sept. 18, 1995...

ANNA, Ill. -- Helen C. Ligon, 90, of Anna, died Tuesday, May 7, 1996, at City Care Center.

She was born Dec. 15, 1905, in Union County, daughter of Hugh E. and Bessie Ebey Church. She and Harvey L. Ligon were married Oct. 10, 1931. He died Sept. 18, 1995.

Ligon was a member of First Christian Church and Union County Extension Club.

Survivors include three daughters, Barbara Smith of Huntsville, Ala., Mary Wurtz of St. Louis, Jane Seabaugh of Anna; four grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren, and a great-great-granddaughter.

She was preceded in death by two sisters and two brothers.

Friends may call at Crain Funeral Home in Anna from 6-8 p.m. today.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with Steve Shepherd officiating. Burial will be in Anna Cemetery.
