Helen L. Humes, 78, of 1202 S. Ranney, died Saturday, Oct. 10, 1992 at St. Francis Medical Center. She was born Aug. 18, 1914 to Kelly and Hettie Kilbourn Gohn at Neelys Landing. She married Capel "Bud" Humes on Dec. 5, 1936. He died Feb. 23, 1966. Survivors include: one son, Donald Humes of Cape Girardeau; one daughter, Charlotte Brandon of St. Peters; three grandchildren; and four great grandchildren...

Helen L. Humes, 78, of 1202 S. Ranney, died Saturday, Oct. 10, 1992 at St. Francis Medical Center.

She was born Aug. 18, 1914 to Kelly and Hettie Kilbourn Gohn at Neelys Landing.

She married Capel "Bud" Humes on Dec. 5, 1936. He died Feb. 23, 1966.

Survivors include: one son, Donald Humes of Cape Girardeau; one daughter, Charlotte Brandon of St. Peters; three grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.

Visitation will be today from 4 to 8 p.m. at Lorberg Memorial Funeral Chapel.

Funeral services will be Monday at 10 a.m. at the Lorberg chapel. The Rev. Don Slatton, minister at New Bethel Baptist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
