PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Helen T. Kruep, 97, of Perryville died Thursday, Sept. 26, 2013, at Independence Care Center.
She was born Oct. 27, 1915, in St. Louis, to Frank and Magdalena Hassler Kratochvil. She and John Herman Kruep were married Feb. 12, 1938, in St. Louis. He preceded her in death Aug. 31, 1998.
Helen was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, and the ministry of praise. She was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan. She loved spending time with her family and friends at family gatherings, and was a talented artist who loved art and painting.
Survivors include a daughter, Marilyn (Jim) Kapp of Perryville; two sons, Raymond (Nancy) Kruep of Fairfax Station, Va., and Dennis (Susan) Kruep of St. Louis; a son-in-law, Thomas Bradburn of Williamsburg, Va.; 15 grandchildren; and 34 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a daughter, Judith Bradburn; a great-grandchild; two brothers; and a sister.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday and from 6:30 a.m. to 12:50 p.m. Friday at Miller Family Funeral Home. Parish prayers will be at 7 p.m. Thursday. The rosary will be recited at noon Friday.
Funeral Mass will be at 1 p.m. Friday at St. Vincent de Paul Church, with the Rev. Milton Ryan officiating. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to St. Vincent de Paul Parish.
