Helen Krueger, 90, of Cape Girardeau, died Monday, Jan. 8, 1996, at Chateau Girardeau Nursing Center. She was born Aug. 30, 1905, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of Louis and Helen Barbara Jaeger Krueger. Helen Krueger, 90, of Cape Girardeau, died Monday, Jan. 8, 1996, at Chateau Girardeau Nursing Center.

She was born Aug. 30, 1905, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of Louis and Helen Barbara Jaeger Krueger.

Krueger was a 1922 graduate of Central High School, received a bachelor of science degree in education from Southeast Missouri State University, and a master's in education from St. Louis University.

She taught English and Latin 45 years in schools at Illmo, Poplar Bluff, and in Marissa, St. Elmo, and Wood River-East Alton, Ill. She was head of the language department 15 years at Wood River-East Alton.

Krueger was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Delta Kappa Gamma sorority, Ladies Auxiliary to VFW Post 3838, and Illinois Teachers Association.

Survivors include a sister, Louise French of Gideon.

She was preceded in death by two brothers.

A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday at Lorberg Memorial Funeral Chapel, with the Rev. Charles Dreyer officiating.
