CHAFFEE -- Helen Irene Jackson, 70, of Chaffee died Wednesday, Nov. 27, 1996, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. She was born Oct. 18, 1926, at Charleston. CHAFFEE -- Helen Irene Jackson, 70, of Chaffee died Wednesday, Nov. 27, 1996, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Oct. 18, 1926, at Charleston. She married Stephen Jackson, who died in April 1994.

Jackson lived in the Thebes and Olive Branch, Ill., areas most of her life. She moved to Chaffee in 1995 to live with a son.

Survivors include a son, Coy Jackson of Chaffee; a daughter, Lana Neal of Cape Girardeau; two sisters, Lula Crown of Clovis, N.M., Mary Street of Paducah, Ky.; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a sister.

Friends may call at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Chapel in Cape Girardeau from 4-8 p.m. Friday.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the chapel. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery at Thebes.
