Helen R. Grant, 72, of Cape Girardeau passed away Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2013, at the Lutheran Home.
She was born July 26, 1940, in Sumner, Miss., to John and Maggie Eula Quinn Keller.
Helen was a member of Hoover Center and Grace Community International.
She retired in 2010 after 20 years of dedicated custodial service at Southeast Missouri State University. She loved spending time with her family and will be deeply missed by all.
Survivors include four children, Dinia (Johnny) Jenkins of Cape Girardeau, Willie Grant of Dallas, Gregory (Pam) Grant of Kansas City, Mo., and Katherine (Robert) McNair of Shiloh, Ill.; two sisters, Lemmie Lee Smith and Rosland Washington of St. Louis; six grandchildren, Gabriel, Heather and Amanda Jenkins, Hailey and Cameron Grant and Robert William McNair; and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother and five sisters.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.
A private burial will be at a later date in Lorimier Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the American Cancer Society.
