HELEN FADELY

PULASKI, Ill. -- Helen Staggs Fadely, 72, of Pulaski, died Thursday, Aug. 4, 1994, at her home.

She was born April 9, 1922, in Cairo, daughter of Monroe and Bertha Horner Polk Sr. She married Edwin Staggs, who preceded her in death. She later married Oscar Fadely, who also preceded her in death.

Survivors include five sons, Donald Staggs of Pulaski, James Fadely of Cypress, Richard Fadely of LaCenter, Ky., Kenneth Fadely of Barlow, Ky., Russell Fadely of Cobden; five daughters, Barbara Matlock of East Prairie, Mo., Cherie Sharp and Josephine Fadely of Pulaski, Barbara Stratton of Barlow, Mildred Griffith of Cypress; four brothers, Monroe Polk Jr. of Wyoming, Ill., Gene Polk of Murphysboro, Ray Polk of Peoria, Melvin Polk of state of Alabama; three sisters, Esther Stewart of Barlow, Dorothy Purkel of Bartonville, Mary Deweese of Peoria; nine grandchildren, and a great-grandchild.

Friends may call at Jones Funeral Home in Villa Ridge from 5-8 p.m. Saturday.

Funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, with the Revs. Quinton Davis and Larry Miller officiating. Burial will be in Spencer Heights Cemetery at Mounds.
