CAIRO, Ill. -- Funeral for Helen L. Dunlap of Oklahoma City, Okla., will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Crain Funeral Home in Ullin, Ill. The Rev. Jerry Herring will officiate. Burial will be in Green Lawn Memorial Gardens.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 5-8 p.m. Sunday.
Dunlap, 97, died Tuesday, March 20, 2001, at her home.
She was born Sept. 30, 1903, in Hickman, Ky., daughter of Marvin and Annie O. Williams Flippin. She and John Earl Dunlap Sr. were married July 29, 1929. He died May 29, 1963.
The Dunlaps operated Dunlap Transfer Co. in Cairo 36 years. She had been a member of First Church of God in Cairo, and a Sunday School teacher. She lived in Dallas, Texas, 19 years before moving to Oklahoma City.
Survivors include three daughters, Betty Hock of Richardson, Texas, Barbara Frogge of Dallas, Judy Summers of Oklahoma City; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, a daughter, a brother, and a sister.
