Helen Duenne

CHARLESTON, Mo. -- Helen Duenne, 72, of Charleston died Monday, Jan. 12, 2004, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston, Mo.

She was born Dec. 28, 1931, in Huffman, Ark., daughter of John Thomas and Mollie Barnes Faust. She and Herman Bernard Duenne were married June 3, 1953. He died July 10, 1994.

Duenne was a member of St. Henry Catholic Church and Daughters of Isabella.

Survivors include five sons, John Duenne of New Madrid, Mo., Joey, Alan and Albert Duenne, all of Charleston, Mark Duenne of Benton, Mo.; four daughters, Theresa Griggs of Paducah, Ky., Patty Burrus of Cape Girardeau, Mary Johnson of Sikeston, Melissa Cockrum of Charleston; a brother, Marion Faust of Florida; a sister, Odessa Rice of Arnold, Mo.; and 12 grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, a brother and a sister.

Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. today at St. Henry Catholic Church, with Monsignor Richard Rolwing officiating. Burial will be in Texas Bend Cemetery near Charleston.

McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston is in charge of arrangements.
