MOUNDS, Ill. -- Helen Conn Deesle, 92, of Sun City, Ariz., died Saturday, Oct. 18, 1997, in Sun City. She was born Oct. 29, 1904, in Mounds, daughter of Alexander and Lorena Auld Deesle. Deesle was a teacher in Cairo, Mound City, and Granite City many years, moving to Sun City in 1974. She also authored a book for children titled "Bobby Dog and His Friends," which was published by American Book Co...

MOUNDS, Ill. -- Helen Conn Deesle, 92, of Sun City, Ariz., died Saturday, Oct. 18, 1997, in Sun City.

She was born Oct. 29, 1904, in Mounds, daughter of Alexander and Lorena Auld Deesle.

Deesle was a teacher in Cairo, Mound City, and Granite City many years, moving to Sun City in 1974. She also authored a book for children titled "Bobby Dog and His Friends," which was published by American Book Co.

She was a graduate of Indiana State University, and did graduate work at several universities.

There are no survivors.

Graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Spencer Heights Cemetery.

Barkett Funeral Home at Mounds is in charge of arrangements.
