MATTHEWS, Mo. -- Helen Day, 42, of Matthews died Thursday, Dec. 23, 2004, at the Missouri Delta Medical Center. She was born Jan. 23, 1962, at Sikeston, Mo., daughter of John and Annie Hayden Grogan. Day had lived in Matthews for the past 19 years. Survivors include two daughters, Heather Day of Matthews, Loren Day of Sikeston, Mo.; a brother, Larry Grogan of Matthews; six sisters, Linda Jones of Clairmore, Okla., Johnnie Dean, Georgia Thurman, Mary Grogan and Carolyn Tripp, all of East Prairie, Mo., Ellen Grogan of Cape Girardeau; and two granddaughters.. ...

MATTHEWS, Mo. -- Helen Day, 42, of Matthews died Thursday, Dec. 23, 2004, at the Missouri Delta Medical Center.

She was born Jan. 23, 1962, at Sikeston, Mo., daughter of John and Annie Hayden Grogan.

Day had lived in Matthews for the past 19 years.

Survivors include two daughters, Heather Day of Matthews, Loren Day of Sikeston, Mo.; a brother, Larry Grogan of Matthews; six sisters, Linda Jones of Clairmore, Okla., Johnnie Dean, Georgia Thurman, Mary Grogan and Carolyn Tripp, all of East Prairie, Mo., Ellen Grogan of Cape Girardeau; and two granddaughters.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister and two brothers.

Friends may call after 6 p.m. Tuesday at Shelby Funeral Home at East Prairie.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Gary Zook officiating. Burial will be in Dogwood Cemetery.
