JACKSON -- Helen Darnell, 70, of Jackson, died Thursday, March 11, 1993, at St. Francis Medical Center. She was born Feb. 17, 1923, in St. Louis, daughter of Adolph and Anna Lensheska Rell. She and Ollie O. Darnell were married Feb. 18, 1950, in St. Louis. He died May 30, 1986...

JACKSON -- Helen Darnell, 70, of Jackson, died Thursday, March 11, 1993, at St. Francis Medical Center.

She was born Feb. 17, 1923, in St. Louis, daughter of Adolph and Anna Lensheska Rell. She and Ollie O. Darnell were married Feb. 18, 1950, in St. Louis. He died May 30, 1986.

Darnell was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.

Survivors include a son, Bruce Darnell of Lawrenceville, Ga. a daughter, Cynthia Strobel of Germany; a brother, Bernard Rell of St. Louis, and six grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a sister and brother.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Immaculate Church. Msgr. Edward Eftink will officiate, with burial in Friedens Cemetery in St. Louis.

Friends may call at McCombs Funeral Home from 4-8 p.m. today. Parish prayers will be at 7:30.
