Helen D. Jones, 74, of 518 Silver Springs, died Saturday, Jan. 22, 1994, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau of an extended illness with Parkinson's Disease.
She was born July 20, 1920, at Bell City, Mo., daughter of Green and Lucy Simmons Lee.
She B. Frank Jones, Oct. 26, 1940, at Jackson.
Jones was a homemaker.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church and the Esther Sunday School Class in Cape Girardeau, where she taught Sunday school for many years. Jones was also a Girl Scout leader, a member of the Otahki Council and was active with the PTA.
Jones graduated from the Randles, Mo., High School in 1939.
Survivors include her husband; two sons, Kenneth Jones of Florissant, Mo., Frank Jones of Cape Girardeau; three daughters, Jennifer Pyatt of Chesterfield, Mo., Susie Nall and Elizabeth Seesing, both of Cape Girardeau; three brothers, Elmer Stacy of Davenport, Iowa, Clifford Stacy of Cape Girardeau, Murel Stacy of Wood River, Ill.; four sisters, Wanda Holland of Advance, Mary Janette Chapman of Delta, Roxie Turner of Lake Wales, Mo., Ora Stacy of Miami, Fla.; 14 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a step-father, two brothers and a sister.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Monday at the Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, at the Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel, with the Rev. Doug Sparks officiating.
Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
