CHARLESTON -- Helen Cook DeLine, 72, a resident of Charleston, died Sunday, Dec. 25, 1994, at the Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
She was born Sept. 7, 1922, at Arkadelphia, Ark., to Gideon Clayborn and Ella Stallings Cook. On Nov. 28, 1941, she married Joseph Loren "Spec" DeLine.
DeLine had lived in Charleston most of her life and was a member of the First Baptist Church. She had been owner and operator of Helen DeLine's Gift and Beauty Salon, secretary for the Charleston Chamber of Commerce, personnel director for DAEOC and a member of the Sikeston Art League.
Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Melissa Graham of Charleston and Judith Hahs of Sikeston; two sisters, Louise Gann of Malvern, Ark., and Norma Tarrant of Bismarck, Ark.; and four grandsons.
She was preceded in death by two brothers.
Friends may call today from 5 to 8 p.m. at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston.
Funeral service will be conducted Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Charleston with the Rev. Gerald Collier, pastor, and the Rev. Gerald Penn, pastor of the First Assembly of God Church, officiating. Interment will follow in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
