CAPE GIRARDEAU -- Funeral service for Mrs. Helen C. Klages of Cape Girardeau will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Christ Lutheran Church in Gordonville. The Rev. Charles C. Minetree will officiate, with burial in Lorimier Cemetery.
Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel from 4-8 p.m. today.
Mrs. Klages, 86 years old, died Tuesday, March 19, 1991, at the Lutheran Home.
She was born March 30, 1904, at Gordonville, daughter of John and Alvina Volkerding Luehring. She married Arnold (Jim) Klages June 3, 1939, at Gordonville. He died July 7, 1970.
Mrs. Klages had been a clerk in the Woolworth Store in downtown Cape. She was a lifelong member of Christ Lutheran Church and a member of its Ladies Aid.
Survivors include nieces, nephews and cousins.
