ANNA, Ill. -- Helen Brimm, 89, of Anna died Monday, Dec. 8, 2014, in Titusville, Florida.
Helen was born March 15, 1925, the daughter of John H. and Tillie Hammock Wood. She married Charles D. Brimm on Jan. 15, 1946, and he preceded her in death Aug. 14, 1996.
Helen was a lifetime resident of Anna and a longtime member of the Anna Heights Baptist Church. Following high school she attended Evansville Business College and worked many years for the Anna National and Anna State Banks. She enjoyed visiting her family and attending church. Helen was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
She is survived by her daughter, Kathy (Ken) Calman of Fort Lauderdale, Florida; son, Steve (Gretchen) Brimm of Spearfish, South Dakota; grandsons, Paul Brimm of Savannah, Georgia, and Will (Kendra) Brimm of Ozone, Arizona; sisters-in-law, Eleanor Ketchie of North Charleston, South Carolina, and Ginny (Earl) Miles of Collinsville, Illinois; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Monday at Crain Funeral Home in Anna-Jonesboro.
The funeral will be at 11:30 a.m. Monday at funeral home, with the Rev. Darryl Williams officiating. Interment will be private.
Memorials may be made to Anna Heights Baptist Church. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
