MARBLE HILL, Mo. -- Helen Elizabeth Beussink, 83, of Marble Hill died Tuesday, Feb. 4, 2020, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
Born on Aug. 25, 1936, in Leopold, Missouri, she was the daughter of Fred and Helena Elfrink Thiele. She and Harold Bernard Beussink were married at St. John Catholic Church in Leopold on May 17, 1958.
Helen was a lifelong member of St. John Church, participating in the parish Council of Catholic Women.
She was a dedicated homemaker and worked at the Bollinger County Library over 20 years.
Survivors include her husband of 61 years; daughters, Elaine (DeWayne) Stroder, Pam (Stan) Woodfin, Peggy (Francis) Nenninger and Sarah (Dave) Johnson; son, Stuart (Julie) Beussink; sister, Betty Beussink; brother, Stanley Thiele; 11 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at St. John Catholic Church. Parish prayers will start at 7 p.m.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at the church, with the Rev. David Coon officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
