Funeral for Helen Anita Moore, 81, of Cape Girardeau, Mo., will be noon today at Ford & Sons Sprigg Street Funeral Home. The Rev. Douglas C. Breite will officiate. Burial will be in Cape Coiunty Memorial Park.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. to time of the funeral today at the funeral home.
Moore died 10:18 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 28, 2000, at The Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.
She was born July 11, 1919, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of Martin E. and Dorthea Doering Hilpert.
She married Ivan Moore Aug. 16, 1940, in Cape Girardeau. He preceded her in death April 16, 1958.
She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Cape Girardeau. She was a lifelong resident of Cape Girardeau and was secretary for Cape Girardeau Central High School and Cape Girardeau Board of Education for 25 years. After retiring from the school district, she worked for six years for Sunny Hill Florist and Garden Center.
Survivors include a daughter, Carol Carter of Cape Girardeau; two grandchildren, Chioki Carter of St. Louis, Mo., and Jamila Dorris of Cape Girardeau; and two great-grandchildren, Brandon Dorris and Bethany Dorris, both of Cape Girard-eau.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Lana Kay Moore, who died April 16, 1966; her parents; three brothers; and three sisters.
Pallbearers will be Robert Dorris, Paul Schnare, Weldon Hilpert and Richard Dippold.
Memorial may be made to Living Hope.
