CAPE GIRARDEAU -- Funeral service for Mrs. Helen Anna Weiss, 1801 Thilenius, will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Chapel. The Rev. David Dissen will officiate, with burial in Lorimier Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 5-8 p.m. today.
Mrs. Weiss, 88 years old, died Monday, April 8, 1991, at her home.
She was born Oct. 12, 1902, in Cape, daughter of August and Augusta Friederick Zickfield. She married Leo G. Weiss April 22, 1923, in Cape. He died Aug. 15, 1965.
Mrs. Weiss had worked at Bauer Bakery, and then worked more than 30 years at Zickfield Jewelers. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.
Survivors include a sister-in-law, Maxine Zickfield of Cape; two nephews, Kent Zickfield of Cape, Peter Zickfield of Barnhart, two nieces, Janet Burns of Auburn Ala., Suzanne Maassen of Cape, and 12 great-nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Alvin P. and William A. Zickfield.
