BELL CITY -- H.D. Uhles, 69, Bell City Route 1, died Thursday, Feb. 16, 1995, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
He was born April 1, 1925, at Qulin, son of Ernest Dexter and Cora Elizabeth Collum Uhles. He and Ruby Lambert were married March 22, 1946, in Manila, Ark.
Uhles was a farmer, and attended First Baptist Church in Dexter. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Denny Uhles of Bakersfield, Calif., Tam Uhles, Bell City Route 1; a daughter, Debbie Tanaka of Los Alamitos, Calif.; a brother, Bentley Uhles of Arvin, Calif.; three sisters, Stella Hall and Amy Hall of Bakersfield, Ruby Yancey of Bodfish, Calif., and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by four brothers.
Friends may call at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston from 5-8 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, with Stephen Moody officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
