ALLENVILLE, Mo. -- Hazel P. Walker, 79, of Allenville died Monday, Dec. 24, 2001, at Chaffee Nursing Center in Chaffee, Mo.
She was born Jan. 15, 1922, at Aberdene, Ohio, daughter of Elza and Myrtie Denton Poff. She and Clyde Walker were married Nov. 29, 1954. He died Dec. 29, 1989.
Walker was a retired machine operator at Florsheim Shoe Co. in Cape Girardeau and worked in a nurses care unit in the U.S. Army. She was also a Sunday school teacher for many years and a member of Free Trinity Pentecostal Church in Randles, Mo.
Survivors include a daughter, Velma Jean Tucker of Ohio; a brother, Billy Poff of Maysville, Ky.; a sister, Cloia Kinder of Randles, Mo.; several grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three sisters.
Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee at 4 p.m. today.
Funeral will be at 7 p.m. today, with the Rev. Vestor Keesee officiating. Burial will be in William Cemetery in Perkins, Mo., at 9:30 a.m. Thursday.
