DONGOLA, Ill. -- Hazel Penrod, 84, of Dongola, Ill., died Sunday, Feb. 23, 1997, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
She was born March 17, 1912, near Dongola, the daughter of Eldie and May Penrod Troutman. She married Theodore Penrod on Dec. 8, 1928. He preceded her in death on Aug. 13, 1994.
She was a member of the Friendship Baptist Church.
She is survived by three sons, Billy Penrod of Dallas, Ga., Ted Penrod of Avondale Estate, Ga., and Jerry Penrod of Dongola; one daughter, Peggy Bradley of Cumming, Ga.; two sisters, Helen Lentz of Bradley, Ill., and Hilda West of Cypress, Ill.; 11 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother and one sister.
Friends may call from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. today and before the service Tuesday, at the Crain Funeral Home in Dongola.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Kenneth Mixen officiating. Burial will follow in Friendship Cemetery.
