JACKSON, Mo. -- Hazel Mildred O'Neal, 98, of Jackson died Thursday, Jan. 11, 2001, at Jackson Manor.
She was born June 19, 1902, at Gordonville, Mo., daughter of James M. and Mary Susan "Mollie" Howard Statler. She and Glenn Edward O'Neal were married Oct. 7, 1922, at Gordonville. He died March 21, 1994.
O'Neal lived on a farm in the Gordonville area, moving to Cape Girardeau in 1952. She worked at International Shoe Co. 13 years. She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church at Gordonville and its Ladies Aid.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, James Edward "Jim" and Elizabeth O'Neal of Cape Girardeau; a brother, Wilson Statler of San Diego, Calif.; a grandson and wife, Lynn and Wendy O'Neal of Perryville, Mo.; and two great-grandsons, Brock O'Neal and Jonathan O'Neal of Perryville.
She was preceded in death by four brothers and three sisters.
Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel in Cape Girardeau from 4-8 p.m. today.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the chapel, with the Rev. Gary Hoffstetter officiating. Burial will be in Russell Heights Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Christ Lutheran Church.
