Hazel M. Seabaugh, 89, of Jackson passed away Sunday, May 20, 2007, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. She resided at the Monticello House in Jackson the past two years.
She was born Dec. 18, 1917, in Sedgewickville, Mo., daughter of the late Adolph and Ida Seabaugh Statler. She and Delmar H. Seabaugh were married Feb. 23, 1935, in Jackson. He passed away Jan. 10, 1996.
She worked several years at the former, original International Shoe Factory in Perryville, Mo. She and Delmar farmed in the Sedgewickville area from 1945 to 1995, when they moved to Jackson.
Hazel was a lifelong member of Sedgewickville United Methodist Church, where she enjoyed attending the adult Sunday school class.
Loving survivors include three sons, Dewey (Joan Marie) Seabaugh of Erie, Colo., Howard (Shirley) Seabaugh of Foristell, Mo., Mike (Sharran) Seabaugh of Patton, Mo.; two daughters, Sue (Jerry) Marshall of Jackson and Nelda Jones of Texico, Ill.; a brother, Merlin "Pete" (Pat) Statler of Jackson; 15 grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Denver; a daughter-in-law; a son-in-law; five brothers and two sisters.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, May 22 at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson.
Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 23 at the funeral home, with the Rev. Anthony Stewart officiating.
Interment will follow in Russell Heights Cemetery.
