JEFFERSON CITY -- Hazel L. Tipton, 84, of Jefferson City died Thursday, Dec. 25, 1997, at the Capital City Health Care Center.
She was born Sept. 23, 1919, at Eldon, daughter of Joe and Dollie James Tipton.
A graduate of Jefferson City Public Schools, Tipton operated a beauty shop in Jefferson a number of years before moving to Cape Girardeau. She returned to Jefferson City in 1987.
Survivors include two brothers, Robert Tipton of East Peoria, Ill., and William Tipton of St. Joseph; and a sister, Mildred Reynolds of Collierville, Tenn.
Graveside service and interment will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday at Cape Girardeau County Memorial Park Cemetery. A service will be conducted at 11 a.m. today at Freeman Mortuary Chapel at Jefferson City, with the Rev. Dennis Maxwell officiating.
Friends may call at the Freeman Mortuary from 10 a.m. to service time.
