CAIRO, Ill. -- Hazel V. Griffith, 91, of Cairo died Sunday, Jan. 4, 1998, at the Daystar Care Center in Cairo.
She was born July 8, 1906, at Pulaski, the daughter of John E. and Essie Curry Rives. She married Rollie Griffith. He died in 1989.
Griffith was a homemaker. She was a member of the First Southern Baptist Church in Cairo.
Survivors include a son, Jim Griffith of Du Quoin; a brother, Charles Rives of Cairo; two sisters, Olga Hopper of Cairo and Wilda Kinslow of Ullin; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother and two sisters.
Friends may call Tuesday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the First Southern Baptist Church in Cairo.
Funeral services will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. at the church, with the Rev. Bill Gholson officiating. Burial will be at the Green Lawn Memorial Gardens in Villa Ridge.
