HATTIE TATUM

EAST PRAIRIE -- Hattie Vivian Patrick Tatum, 72, of East Prairie died Tuesday, May 30, 2000, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.

She was born March 1, 1928, in Benton, Ill., daughter of Thomas and Mary Alice Hess Stone. She and Everett Lee Patrick were married Jan. 17, 1948. He died in 1971.

Tatum lived in Mississippi County most of her life, and was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include five sons, Roy Patrick of Anniston, Bill Patrick of East Prairie, Ronnie Patrick of Hunstville, Ala., Rick Patrick of Columbia, and Mike Patrick of Benton; three daughters, Janet Kirby of East Prairie, LaVerne Freed of Scott City, and Evelyn Corwin of Maueen, Ohio.

She was preceded in death by two sons, four brothers and four sisters.

Friends may call after 6 p.m. today at Shelby Funeral Home.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Mark Odle officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery near Charleston.
