EAST PRAIRIE -- Funeral service for Hattie Marie Polston Johnson of Fredericktown, formerly of East Prairie, will be held at 1 p.m. today at Shelby Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Larry Smith will officiate, with burial in East Prairie Memorial Park Cemetery.
Johnson, 77, died Saturday, April 10, 1993, at Madison Memorial Hospital in Fredericktown, following an extended illness.
She was born April 1, 1916, in Middle, Tenn., daughter of William and Susie Stokes Cravin. She and Charles Audie Polston were married in 1931. He died July 8, 1973.
Johnson was a member of Church of God here.
Survivors include two sons, Charles Polston Jr. of St. Peters, Thomas Polston of Ogden, Utah; three daughters, Sadie Irby of Farmington, Carolyn Heath of DesPeres, Anna Durham of St. Peters; a sister, Elizabeth Anderson of Peoria, Ill.; 11 grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, two brothers, a sister, a grandson, and great-granddaughter.
