BLOOMFIELD, Mo. -- Hasel Pearl Baker, 96, of Bloomfield died Monday, July 16, 2001, at Dexter, Mo.
She was born March 22, 1905, in the Oak Ridge community. She and James Baker were married Aug. 18,1925. He died March 15, 1999.
Baker was one of the first employees of Elder Manufacturing Co. at Bloomfield in the 1940s. The Bakers moved to St. Louis in 1953 and she was a licensed practical nurse at the state hospital. She retired in 1968, moved to Dexter, and then moved to Bloomfield in 1972. She attended First Assembly of God Church.
Survivors include a son, Bill Baker of Dexter; three daughters, Bettie Hammell and Martha Walker of Bloomfield, Shirley Dempsey of Farmington, Mo.; 10 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by an infant son, a brother, and a sister.
Friends may call at Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home from 5-8 p.m. today.
Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Revs. Dallas Reagan and Kevin Eskew officiating. Burial will be in Zion Cemetery near Bloomfield.
