ADVANCE, Mo. -- Dennis Harvey Stevens, 84, of Advance died Thursday, Feb. 26, 2004, at Advance Nursing Center.
He was born Nov. 8, 1919, at Bell City, Mo., son of Matthew and Melinda Nicholson Stevens. He and Cleo Proffer were married June 17, 1944, in Denton, Texas.
Stevens was a painter 20 years with McCabe Powers Body Co. He was a member of Bethel General Baptist Church near Advance.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, and two brothers, Charles Stevens of Advance and Joe Stevens of Cape Girardeau.
He was preceded in death by a sister and two brothers.
Friends may call at Morgan Funeral Home from 5 to 8 p.m. today.
The funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Ray Placher officiating. Burial will be in Morgan Memorial Park.
