OLMSTED, Ill. -- Harvey L. Ramage, 73, of Olmsted died at 9:37 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 20, 2014, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
Harvey was born March 7, 1940, in Ullin, Ill., son of Marshall A. and Bertha May Wright Ramage. He married Sharon Rose on Dec. 23, 1967.
He was a member of Caledonia Community Church in Olmsted. Harvey was a self-employed lumberjack his whole life until he went to work at Rubbermaid. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, and loved children.
Survivors include his wife, Sharon Ramage of Olmsted; two daughters, Teresa Ramage of Jonesboro, Ill., and Shannon Walker of Villa Ridge, Ill.; two grandchildren, Trevor Walker and Sydnie Walker, both of Villa Ridge; four brothers and six sisters, Ralph (Gladys) Ramage of Olive Branch, Ill., Ira L. (Rose) Ramage of Perks, Ill., Agnes M. Eddleman of Perks, Ruth Stone of Anna, Ill., Homer M. Ramage of Olmsted, Joann Lessar of Elco, Ill., Verna L. Aden of Marion, Ill., Howard (Beth) Ramage of Dongola, Ill., Ann L. (Kenneth) Rosson of Mill Creek, Ill., and Rita Ramage of Olmsted; several special nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews; and several special friends.
Harvey was preceded in death by his parents; an infant son, Brent Edward Ramage, on July 11, 1974; and an infant brother, James.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today at Crain Funeral Home in Dongola.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Interment to follow at Green Lawn Memorial Gardens.
