Harvey "Hop" Jackson, 90, of Scott City died Saturday, May 18, 2013, at Chaffee Nursing Center.
He was born Aug. 1, 1922, in Grays Point, Mo., to William and Dora Mae Henderson Jackson.
Survivors include two brothers, Orley (Betty) Jackson and Billy Gene Jackson, both of Scott City; four sisters, Ruby Tackett of Zalma, Mo., Mary Lindner of Kalamazoo, Mich., Hazel Jackson of Chicago and Eula Jackson of Michigan; and many nieces and nephews. Hop lived with Orley and Betty since 1971 and was more of a brother than an uncle to their children, Ricky, Cathy, Carla and Carmon.
He was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City.
Funeral services will be at 7:30 p.m. today at the funeral home, with the Rev. Randy Morse officiating. A private burial will be at a later date.
