Harry Anson Wyman Jr., 60, formerly of Pocahontas, passed away Tuesday, June 8, 2004, at his home in Jackson.

He was born Oct. 15, 1943, in St. Louis, son of Harry Anson and Anna Balke Wyman Sr.

Harry was inducted into the U.S. Army 101st Airborne Division in St. Louis in 1960. He served in Vietnam with the 1st Infantry Division from 1967 to 1969. He specialized in chemical operations and armament maintenance supervision. A sergeant first class and Purple Heart recipient, he was honorably discharged in 1983 at Fort Riley, Kan.

After his military career, Harry owned and operated B&H Painting in Waxahachie, Texas, with his former wife, Bonnie.

He lived in Pocahontas from 1987 to 1999, and in Jackson since 1999.

Loving survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Cindy and Korey Sanders of Jackson; a son and daughter-in-law, Tony and Stasia Wyman, and their daughter, Annie, of Fenton, Mo.; former wife, Bonnie Wyman of Pocahontas; four sisters and brothers-in-law, Gail and Don Kershaw, Jeanette and Ben Scarebrough, Terry and Ray Kivlehen, and Anna and Al Leibold, all of Illinois.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Georgia Reiser and Patricia Wyman; and a brother, Jack Wyman.

The Rev. John Rhodes will conduct a memorial service at 2 p.m. Saturday at New Bethel Cemetery near Pocahontas. Full military honors will follow committal.

Memorials may be made to the family.

McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson is in charge of arrangements.
