VILLA RIDGE, Ill. -- Harry Payne Jr. of Summerfield, Fla., formerly of Cairo and Sparta in Illinois, died Wednesday, July 24, 1996, at his home in Summerfield.

Payne was born in Cairo, son of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Payne Sr.

He was an employee with the Joppa energy plant before moving to Florida.

Payne married the former Pauline Clancy of Villa Ridge.

He is survived by his wife, Pauline; a daughter, Cheryl Miles of Sparta; two sisters, Kay Harr and Sue Sattenfield, and a brother, Floyd Payne, all of Paducah, Ky; and two grandchildren.

Services were held in Summerfield.
