GRAND CHAIN, Ill. -- Harry William Inman, 96, of Grand Chain died Sunday, Sept. 5, 1999, at Massac Memorial Hospital at Metropolis.
He was born, Oct. 21, 1902, at Cypress, son of Harwood and Linnie Dry Inman. He was a member of the First Congregational Church at Grand Chain. He was a retired grain and livestock farmer and had worked as a laborer in the construction of Dam 53 at Olmsted.
He is survived by two daughters-in-law, Joyce Inman of Grand Chain and Mae Inman of Little Rock, Ark.; five grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandsons.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary, two sons and a grandson.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today at the Wilson funeral Home at Karnak.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the First Congregational Church at Grand Chain. Ralph Kaufman and the Rev. Guy Inman will officiate, with burial to follow at the Masonic Cemetery at Grand Chain.
