ZALMA -- Funeral service for Harry Froman Sr. will be held at 1 p.m. today at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Puxico. The Rev. Lee Roy Hefner will officiate, with burial in Jimmerson Cemetery near McGee.
Froman, 88, died Sunday, Dec. 1, 1996, at Advance Nursing Center.
He was born Sept. 13, 1908, at McGee, son of John and Katherine Lincoln Froman. He and Grace Gribler were married March 10, 1929, at McGee.
A lifelong resident of McGee and Zalma, Froman was a retired timber and construction worker. He was a member of Mt. Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church at McGee.
Survivors include his wife; three sons, Harry Jr., Ronald and Mitchell Froman, all of Zalma; three brothers, Oscar Froman of Urbana, Ohio, Monroe Froman of McCroy, Ark., Charles Froman of Hunter, Ark.; three sisters, Christine Froman of Prattville, Ala., Mildred Johnson of Rialto, Calif., Nellie Curlee of Urbana; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sisters and a brother.
