LESTERVILLE, Mo. -- Harrol J. Hudson, 84, of Lesterville died Wednesday, Feb. 22, 2012, at Des Peres Hospital in Des Peres, Mo. He was born Aug. 7, 1927, at Silver Lake, Mo., son of Percy J. and Gertrude Schindler Hudson. He and Anna May Guth were married Sept. 28, 1948. He and Lorena May Niswonger were married Jan. 14, 1956...

LESTERVILLE, Mo. -- Harrol J. Hudson, 84, of Lesterville died Wednesday, Feb. 22, 2012, at Des Peres Hospital in Des Peres, Mo.

He was born Aug. 7, 1927, at Silver Lake, Mo., son of Percy J. and Gertrude Schindler Hudson. He and Anna May Guth were married Sept. 28, 1948. He and Lorena May Niswonger were married Jan. 14, 1956.

Mr. Hudson was an Army veteran of the Korean conflict.

He was owner/operator of Harrol's Auto Sales. He was a member of VFW Post 3838 in Cape Girardeau and AmVets Post 94 in Perryville, Mo.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Sandra K. Schumer and Bonnie L. Hudson of Perryville; a brother, Kenneth Hudson of De Soto, Mo.; a sister, Sylvia Lappe of St. Louis; two granddaughters, Kimberly (Schumer) Murphree of O'Fallon, Mo., Andrea (Schumer) Chambers of Imperial, Mo.; two great-grandsons, Jackson and Luke Chambers; three great-stepgrandsons, Nathan, Seth and Aaron Murphree; and a great-great-stepgranddaughter, Alexandria Murphree.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Donald and Raymond Hudson; and a great-great-stepgranddaughter, Courtney Murphree.

Friends may call from 1 p.m. to service time Sunday at Young and Sons Funeral Home. VFW Post 3838 will conduct a wake service at 2:15.

The funeral will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Military honors will be conducted by VFW Post 3838 and Missouri Delta Team.

Memorials are preferred to American Diabetes Association or Masses.
