HAROLD "RED" MITCHELL

ANNA, Ill. -- Harold "Red" Mitchell, 71, of Anna, died Sunday, Dec. 28, 1997, at Southeast Baptist Hospital in San Antonio, Texas. He was born Oct. 10, 1926, in Hardin County, Illinois, son of John and Lula Hines Mitchell. He and Juanita Pitts were married Aug. 8, 1948. She died July 30, 1994...

ANNA, Ill. -- Harold "Red" Mitchell, 71, of Anna, died Sunday, Dec. 28, 1997, at Southeast Baptist Hospital in San Antonio, Texas.

He was born Oct. 10, 1926, in Hardin County, Illinois, son of John and Lula Hines Mitchell. He and Juanita Pitts were married Aug. 8, 1948. She died July 30, 1994.

Mitchell was a veteran of the U.S. Army and worked as a truck driver.

Survivors include a brother-in-law, Tom Pitts of Anna, five cousins, Lennie G. Hines of Kansas City, Mo., John Hines and Bobby Joe Hines, both of Anna, and Debby Kent and James Hines, both of Jonesboro.

Friends may call from 4-7 p.m. Friday at the Crain Funeral Home in Anna.

Graveside service will be Saturday at 10 a.m. at the Casper Cemetery. Military rites will be performed by the Carroll P. Foster Post 3455.
