Harold Paul Beardslee, 84, 727 Bellevue, died Sunday, May 2, 1993, at St. Francis Medical Center.

He was born April 18, 1909, at Commerce, son of Paul and Francis Groves Beardslee. He and Valerie Allais Skarg were married April 18, 1952.

Beardslee had owned a car dealership in Grosse Pointe, Mich., and had worked at various Chrysler dealerships. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

Survivors include his wife; three brothers, Glenn and Charles Beardslee of Scott City, and Maurice Beardslee of Benton.

He was preceded in death by two sisters.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City. The Rev. Eloise Marx will officiate, with burial in Oakdale Cemetery at Commerce.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 6 p.m. today.
