SIKESTON -- Funeral service for Harold N. (Pete) Chartrau of Sikeston will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel. The Rev. A.G. Hampton will officiate, with burial in Evergreen Cemetery at New Madrid.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 5 p.m. today, with Masonic rites at 7:30.

Chartrau, 59 years old, died Monday, Feb. 18, 1991, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.

He was born Aug. 5, 1931, at New Madrid, son of Everett Francis and Letha Ann Cowan Chartrau. He and the former Bernadine Myers were married Aug. 5, 1951, at Hayti.

Chartrau was a farmer, and had worked 14 years at Noranda Aluminum. He attended Calvary Temple Assembly of God Church, and was a member of New Madrid Masonic Lodge 429 AF&AM.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Harold and Scott Chartrau of Sikeston; a daughter, Jane Chartrau of the home; a brother, John Chartrau of Bonne Terre; four sisters, Glenda Pippins of Lilbourn, Mildred Halford of New Madrid, Dorothy Chartrau of Jacksonville, Fla., Virginia Barbro of Topeka, Kan., and two granddaughters.

He was preceded in death by three brothers.
