Harold Eugene McFerron, 84, of Cape Girardeau died Thursday, Sept. 15, 2005, at Chateau Girardeau Health Center.
He was born Jan. 7, 1921, at Randles, son of Arthur F. and Lucy Beck McFerron. He and Helen Louise Ford were married Aug. 31, 1946, in Cape Girardeau.
Mr. McFerron attended May Greene School and was a 1937 graduate of Central High School.
He was an agent with State Farm Insurance 31 years, retiring Aug. 31, 1988. He was a deacon and Sunday school teacher many years. He was a member of Lighthouse Bible Baptist Church.
He was a U. S. Army veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Helen McFerron of Cape Girardeau; a daughter, Martha Anne Green and husband Tim of Lexington, Ky.; two sons, Gordon N. McFerron of Grand Junction, Colo., Alan R. McFerron and wife Beth of Cape Girardeau; three sons, Christopher McFerron of Santa Barbara, Calif., Mark McFerron of Grand Junction, and Tyler Green of Lexington.
He was preceded in death by seven brothers and four sisters.
Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Monday.
The funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. David Pringle officiating. Burial will be in Cape County Memorial Park.
Memorials may be made to Southeast Hospice, Lighthouse Bible Baptist Church or Chateau Girardeau Foundation.
