MINER -- Graveside service for Harold Adrian Lewis of Miner will be held at 2:30 p.m. today at Stanton Cemetery in Stanton.
Nunnelee Funeral Chapel at Sikeston is in charge of arrangements.
Lewis, 93, died Monday, April 15, 1996, at Sells Rest Home in Matthews.
He was born Dec. 18, 1902, in East St. Louis, Ill., son of George Edmund and Elizabeth Miller Lewis. He and Anna Maczuk were married June 15, 1929, in St. Louis.
Lewis had been a machinist apprentice with Missouri Pacific Railroad, was a tool and die maker in Detroit, Mich., and co-owned New Haven Transportation Co. in New Haven.
He moved to the Sikeston area in 1938. He was owner and operator of Sikeston Salvage Supply Co. 25 years. He was a former Miner councilman, mayor, city judge, established the Miner Fire Department and was the first chief, and served on the Miner Switch School Board.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Michael Lewis of Roswell, Ga.; four grandsons, and two great-grandsons.
He was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.
